1. How do I subscribe to Block of the Day?

You can visit this page to subscribe:

Then add: blockoftheday@quiltpro.com to your allowed list (contacts) so they won’t get placed in Junk mail.

2. Where can I find the Block Archive?

Once you log in, look for "View Block of the Day Archive" on the menu. 

3. I signed up, but I’m not getting any e-mails, why?

There are a variety of reasons why you may not be getting the email messages. The email address you provided may have had a typo in it, the messages may be getting filtered into your spam or junk mail box or your internet service provider may have blocked our messages. There is no way for us to tell what is going wrong.

4. I signed up yesterday, how can I get blocks that I missed?

You can find them here:

Just sign in with the same email address that you used to sign up for mailing. Bookmark the link for future use.

5. I’ve been on vacation. Can I still download blocks from previous e-mails?

  The blocks are available only during the current month, then they expire.

6. Can you resend the block for a certain date?

No sorry, but you can find them in the block archive.

7. How do I unsubscribe?

If you do not wish to receive any more Block of the Day e-mails from Quilt-Pro Systems, please login to your account and click menu item labeled:

"Edit Your Name, Email Address and Email Subscription Status"

Uncheck the box for "Receive Daily Email" and we will take you off our e-mail list.

8. How do I install the Block of the Day into Foundation Factory?

Click the link for the Block Installer and you will get a screen asking, ‘Do you want to Open the file or Save it to your computer?’ Choose the Save button. You will get a window that will allow you to change the location where you will save the file. The save in box has an arrow to the right of it that when clicked will give to a drop down box. Choose Desktop from the list. Then click Save. Close all your open programs and find the file on your desktop.

Then double click the file to install.

When you get to the screen where is says ‘Select Destination Directory’, click the browse button. The destination depends on whether you have a 32-bit computer or a 64-bit. See question number 14 to determine which you have.

If it is a 32-bit version, delete the default entry and type in ‘C:\Program Files\FoundFac2’ without the quotes.

If it is a 64-bit version, type in ‘C:\Program Files (x86)\FoundFac2’ without the quotes.

You will get a message saying the C:\Program Files\FoundFac2 already exists. Do you want to install into that folder? Click the Yes button.

Then click Next and the block will install into Foundation Factory in the ‘Block of the Day’ folder.

9. How do I install the Block of the Day into 123-Quilt Ver 2?

Click the link for the Block Installer and you will get a screen asking, ‘Do you want to Open the file or Save it to your computer?’ Choose the Save button. You will get a window that will allow you to change the location where you will save the file. The save in box has an arrow to the right of it that when clicked will give to a drop down box. Choose Desktop from the list. Then click Save. Close all your open programs and find the file on your desktop.

10. How do I install the Block of the Day into Quilt-Pro 6?

Click the link and you will get a screen asking, ‘Do you want to Open the file or Save it to your computer?’ Choose the Save button. You will get a window that will allow you to change the location where you will save the file. The save in box has an arrow to the right of it that when clicked will give to a drop down box. 11. How do I install the Block of the Day into Quilt-Pro 5 or Foundation Factory for Mac?

Download the Block installer file for the Mac. Double click the zip file to extract the installer, then double click the installer to add the block files into either Quilt-Pro 5 or Foundation Factory. The blocks will install into the ‘Block of the Day’ folder of the selected program.

12.How do I install the Block of the Day into Strip Piecing Wizard?

Click the link and you will get a screen asking, ‘Do you want to Open the file or Save it to your computer?’ Choose the Save button. You will get a window that will allow you to change the location where you will save the file. The save in box has an arrow to the right of it that when clicked will give to a drop down box. Choose Desktop from the list. Then click Save. Close all your open programs and find the file on your desktop.

Then click Next and the block will install into Strip Piecing Wizard in the ‘Block of the Day’ folder.

13. Why doesn’t my block work in Foundation Factory?

There is an update available for Foundation Factory. Download and install the update and it should allow the blocks to work.

14. How do I tell if I have a 32-bit or a 64-bit computer?

Here is how to tell if computer is 32-bit or 64-bit:
Click on the Windows Start Button and then right click on Computer and select Properties. Look for the System Type: to identify which version of Windows you are running.
