Create a Log Cabin Block block using
Quilt Pro

As a special request, a lesson on how to draw a log cabin block.

Begin:

To begin, clear your screen of any open blocks and/or quilts.

From Options menu, choose Patch guidelines. 

Set the patch guideline options as shown to the right.

From the Options menu, choose screen settings.

Set
size to .50

On the Tool Bar press the Rectangle tool and the
Snap to Grid tool.

Using the Rectangle tool and the snap to grid tool, draw the first square,
as shown in the illustration.

Draw second square.

Use tool to draw a longer rectangle.

Continue drawing in the same direction.

Continue drawing rectangles in progressively longer sizes,
following the arrows around until the entire patch guide lines are covered.

 

Then color and save your block using Block Save As.   Use any name you’ll
remember the next time you want to use the block.

the file to open.
