The latest version of Norton is automatically removing Block of the Day block download files. This is because our block download files are unknown to them. Please click here for information on the Norton website than explains why blocks files are being removed. We expect this problem to be resolved as more customers download the blocks. In the meantime, here are two solutions you can try.
You can disable Norton temporarily before you download block files
Right click on the Norton Icon in your tray and click on “Disable Auto-Protect”. You can now disable Norton while you download block files. When you are finished, you can re-enable Norton.
If Norton does remove your block file, here’s how to get it restored
- Right Click on Norton Internet security icon in your tray.
- Click on “View Recent History” in the menu.
- Find the file you want to restore.
- Click on the “restore” link.
