Digi Stash FAQ

If you have downloaded the fabric installer but cannot find it once it’s downloaded, use these instructions:

In Windows:  The most common Windows internet browsers are Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome and Safari and these instructions will work with all, if you used it to download the fabric installer. Once it’s open, press the following two keys on your keyboard at the same time: “ctrl” and “J” that should open the download manager in your browser. You should find the file at the top or near the top of the list. Double click the file to begin the installation.

In Mac: In Safari, when you download a file in Safari, the program adds a button on the top right of the screen with a down pointing arrow. Click the button to open the download manager. Then double click the file to begin the installation.

An alternate way of doing the same thing is: press the Command-Option-and L keys at the same time to open the download manager.

After you install the fabrics, open 123-Quilt and click on the (5)Fabrics tab. Where it shows “Show Fabric By:” It will say “Color”. Press the button directly to the right of the word “Color” and select “Manufacturer.” Then select the correct Manufacturer from the list of folders and double click the folder to open it. Next double click the correct collection name and you should see the new fabrics.

After you install the fabrics, open Quilt-Pro and click on the Fabric library button on the floating toolbar, or the a red button with white dots. At the top of the Fabric Library it shows “Sort:” with “Color” in the box. Press the button directly to the right of the word “Color “and select “Manufacturer.” Select the correct Manufacturer from the list of folders and double click the folder to open it. Next double click the correct collection name and you should see the new fabrics.

Fabric Palettes are not included for Quilt Pro Versions 2, 3 or 4 in the newer collections. You may still use the fabric scans but you will have to create your own fabric palette using the fabrics downloaded.
Quilt-Pro 3 for Mac is a Classic program that requires OS9, which is now obsolete, so we haven’t provided collections for it. In addition, Quilt-Pro 3 for Mac can only use Pict format files for the fabrics, which are no longer included in the downloads.  However, if you know how to open zip files and have the capability to convert BMP files to PICT files, contact us and we can email the fabric collection to you. Please specify which manufacturer and collection you are interested in.
