QuiltStash Quick FAQs

Q. I download the file but I can't find it, where did it go?

A. If you have downloaded the file but then cannot find it you may use the Windows search function to locate it. Begin from the Start button, select Find Files and Folders. Enter the name of the file you downloaded and the hard drive you saved it in. Click the Find Now button to start the search. Once located you may start the installation process by double clicking the file right in the search results.

Q. I can't find the palette or the fabric in 1-2-3 Quilt!

A. It's possible that you downloaded one of the files for Quilt Pro instead of the 123 quilt files.  If there is no coresponding 123 file then you will have to re-install that file using the information below. Double click the file in order to start the extraction (installing the files) process.

During the installation process you will note that you are requested to verify the location of your 1-2-3 Quilt! program. The path listed should be the same as used in the original installation of 1-2-3 Quilt! If it is not you will need to change it to: C:\Program Files\123-Quilt If you installed 1-2-3 Quilt! in a different drive, you must change the path to your 1-2-3 Quilt! directory to that drive.

Once the Fabrics files have extracted you may start 1-2-3 Quilt! to look at the fabric. Click on the Palette button and search the main folder for a palette file with the manufacturers and collection name.

Q. I can't find the palette or the fabric in Quilt Pro.

A. Double click the file in order to start installing the files process.

During the installation process you will note that you are requested to verify the location of your Quilt Pro Version 4 or 3 program. The path listed is the same as used in the original installation of Quilt-Pro. If you placed it in a different location or you want to use them with a different version you will need to correct the path given.

Once the Fabrics files have extracted you may start Quilt Pro to open the fabric palette. It will be located in the Quilt-Pro palette folder.

Q. I have Quilt Pro Version 2 and the fabric palette won't work, why not?

A. Fabric Palette Files included are for Quilt Pro Version 3 or 4. You may still use the fabric scans but you will have to create your own fabric palette using the fabrics downloaded.

Q. I have 1-2-3 Quilt! and I can't find the quilt projects, why not?

A. The quilt project files included are for Quilt Pro Version 3 only. Due to programing differences between Quilt-Pro and 1-2-3 Quilt! the quilts will not open in 1-2-3 Quilt!. However, you are free to create your own designs.

Q. I use Quilt Pro Version 3 for Macintosh, why aren't there more files for Mac users?

A. We hope to add additional fabric files available for Mac users as new fabrics become available. If you know how to open zip files and how to convert BMP files to PICT files, contact us and I can email older fabric lines to you. Click here to email us. Please specify which manufacturer and collection you are interested in.
